Most visitors to the north of Mauritius to take the time, Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens famous for its well worth a visit if you fancy a detour afternoon are from the beach. Formally known as Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens (sometimes called the Royal Botanical Gardens), and they have an impressive array of endemic flora and abroad. The abandoned factory near Beau Plan sugar has also been transformed into a fascinating museum.

The city itself was responsible for the fruits of grapefruit like citrus, the Dutch appointed introduced in Mauritius from Java. It’s a feeling of Mauritius and typically a million miles from Grand Baie and Trou aux Biches although there is no other attractions.
