The Mahébourg
It’s something charming Mahebourg tirelessly with its sleepy, a mix of old and new and unusual places. Budget travelers have a good selection of accommodation here, and it is a good starting point for all travelers, with beaches that can only be seen a short distance from the city and many things to do in the region.
Founded in 1805 pronounced, Mahebourg (my-BOR) has been named after the famous French Governor Mahé de Labourdonnais. He began his life as a busy port, but today it is something of a backwater with a small fishing fleet, and a relaxed and friendly. Mountain Lion stands guard while in the North Sea mark a handful of islands in the lagoon, the intense changes from one color to another at high speed.
Mahebourg is an interesting site museum of history interesting. The church is also worth a look in passing, and if time permits, it is worthwhile to venture a little north of the city, a magnificent old biscuit factory visit. There is no beach in the town itself, but Blue Bay is nearby, as well as Point of Esny, located where the boats depart to the island heron.
