Two kilometers from La Fre’neuse community otherwise Black River Sleep is a major center for fishing. Directly at the mouth of the estuary crashes the seafloor 700 m, the ideal environment for nesting and other bait. These small fish attract larger predators like tuna, shark and marlin. When you are after the softer activities, you can also arrange cruises and dolphin-watching expeditions from here, and one of both main entrances to the Black River Gorges National Park is only 5 channels.
